Hey Mike! you're so very right about going that extra mile to meet people to make what happens in social media into something real. I noticed that years ago when I went to my first blogging conference and how so many of the bloggers knew each other because they all lived in San Francisco. That's part of what motivated Jacklyn, Morriss and i to do PCWM. We knew there were great people out there, beyond the "A-list" who knew social media, who were doing great things, and we wanted not just to meet them but to get them to share their experiences. And, a bit selfishly, to meet them! So, glad you came out and hope you can get a PodCamp going in your area....

Oh, and 37 isn't "middle aged." 48 is definitely middle aged. Trust me there ;-)

Mike, well done! The attendee count for PodCamp was about 40. I say 'about' because some folks came in after the program got underway.

Whatever the number, for the first time, it was a great event and will be larger the next time!

Good luck getting people to come to Central Mass. I don't think anyone lives there. It's too far from Boston AND too far from Western Mass.

Kidding! I would totally go to the BBQ meetup if I could. This is also one of those things that might have to happen a time or two before it builds audience.

I think there may be 5 states within Massachusetts waiting to be unlocked, including the state of Boston. That's too funny.
